Meal Plan Monday: Stay On Budget 7 Days A Week

What's cooking in your kitchen this week?  HTD shares what's brewing in our house:

Monday:  (Leftovers from Sunday) We enjoyed a homemade beef and vegetable soup and we are re-heating again to enjoy on a rainy Monday afternoon.  Paired with a warm dinner roll and a glass of sweet tea, it's an easy family-favorite all around.

Tuesday:  Take Out Tuesday (as my neighbor calls it) We will enjoy dinner out from one of our favorite pizza places--and it's organic too!  And because it's 2-For-Tuesday, we'll enjoy even more delicious pizza for the price of one.  We'll serve it up with a cold tossed salad and call everyone to the table for pizza, salad and something cold over ice.

Wendesday:  Breakfast for dinner.  It's one of my favorites and it's an easy one to let the children safely help with.  Blueberry pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, oatmeal, grits, orange juice, apple juice and milk.  Is it Wednesday yet?

Thursday:  Spaghetti, salad and bread.  I'll whip up a zesty marinara sauce, use up the rest of Tuesday's salad mix and add a little garlic, butter and a sprinkling of parsley to complete the meal.  And of course, Vino!

Friday:  Friday is pretty relaxed around here.  Cold plate to the rescue!  Ham, turkey, cheese, grapes, canteloupe, watermelon, cut vegetables and a homemade ranch and pepper dip.  And homemade ice cream (the children love it!) for dessert.

Saturday:  Picnic for supper.  Hot dogs, hamburgers, baked beans, deviled eggs, potato chips, dip, corn on the cob, pasta salad, potato salad and lots of cold drinks.  Maybe even a few friends over, too.  That's always fun!

Sunday:  Pot roast.  Potatoes, carrots, onions, seasoning.  Perfect!  Serve with warm dinner rolls and crisp salad.  And sweetened ice tea.  One of my favorites!
